Make your own way to Auckland airport for NZ89 at 11.15pm fly to Shanghai, overnight on board.

19 Oct. Arrival Shanghai (L/D)

Arrive in Shanghai. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. After lunch, tour to the Bund and Yu Garden- the classical Ming Dynasty grounds of pavilions, towers and terraces that contrast the modern Pudong area, continue to stroll along the spacious promenade along the Bund.

20 Oct. Shanghai (B)

Morning transfer to World Expo Park for a full day visit. Shanghai World Expo to explore pavilions themed for a “Better City, Better Life.” The Expo is the first registered World Exposition in a developing country, which showcases the China's future development. It serves as an important platform for more than 200 countries and international institutions to share cultural experience, exchange innovative ideas and filled with entertainment as you have a glimpse at looking to the future. Afterwards, transfer back to the hotel.

21 Oct. Shanghai/Wuzhen/Suzhou (B/L/D)

Drive to Wuzhen –the famous Water town with an unique layout among the canals 2 kilometers (1.24miles) long and divided into six districts. These are: Traditional Workshops District, Local-Styled Dwelling Houses District, Culture District, Food and Beverage District, Shops and Stores District, and Water Township Customs and Life District. Wandering along the circular circuit created by these six districts to enjoy an atmosphere filled with traditional cultures and the original ancient features of the town that have been well preserved. After lunch, transfer to Suzhou on the private coach.

22 Oct. Suzhou (B/L/D)

Full day visit Humble Administrator’s Garden,Suzhou Museum and the Silk factory followed by a Cannal Cruise. The Humble administrator's Garden was originally built in 1509 during Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was initially a private garden of a former government servant named Wang Xianchen.It was said he intended to build a garden after retirement gardening to plant trees and vegetables, which was said to be the life of a humble man. Hence is the name of the garden. The garden was created around the old relics of a resident and a temple. A serene pond is the main feature set among natural landscape with of small forests, hills and rock formations. It also has man-made pavilions, halls and lounge. Enjoy a cruise along the famous Grand Canal with some free time to wonder on the Gunaqian Street for free shopping.

This morning you will be taken on a brief walking tour of the fascinating Old Quarter of Hanoi, and Hoan Kiem Lake, followed by a visit some of Hanoi's historical sites, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (from outside) and Ho Chi Minh’s house, as well as One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature.

This evening, visit perhaps Vietnam's most famous performing art form, the Water puppet theatre for a one hour show. During a performance the puppets are directed by puppet masters who stand submerged in the water behind a screen and direct the puppets through the use of long sticks.  Traditional musical instruments are used to accompany the story.

Sat, 16 Oct Hanoi – Halong (B/L/D)

In the early morning, transfer from Hanoi to Halong Bay. Arriving in Halong, board a sailing Junk to discover this World Heritage site, known as the 'land of 3000 islands'. Rising from the sea the islands offer a wealth of opportunity for the local people. Your visit includes exploring the beauty of this area up close.

A fantastic cruise this afternoon visiting Long Bay, visit Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island, visit Sung Sot cave and a swim at Titov beach. A delicious seafood lunch and dinner will be on board this evening (options available for those who do not like seafood).  

Sun, 17 Oct Halong – Hanoi – Hue (Brunch/D)

Enjoy the sunrise on your junk. Tea and Coffee is served before you board small bamboo boats to visit Luon Cave and then cruise to pass so that tourists can have a look Man’s head island, Tortoise Island from the Junks. Enjoy a good brunch on board before returning back to Hanoi enroute visiting Dong Trieu ceramics factory.

On arrival in Hanoi, proceed to railway station to connect an overnight train (in 4-berth air-conditioned sleeper compartments) to Hue

After breakfast, proceed for a boat cruise through the centre of hue on the romantic Perfume River. Visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda and the tomb of Minh Mang along the riverbank. Return to the Hotel to check-in.

After a short rest, you will be collected again from your hotel and taken for sightseeing of Old Imperial City -Visit Imperial Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc and Dong Ba Market. Later, continue to visit the elaborate mausoleums of the Emperors Khai Dinh and Tu Duc.

This morning depart Hue, and transfer to Hoi An by coach. Discover the spectacular Hai Van Pass, rated by National Geographic as one of 50 'must-do' journeys in the world. This scenic road winds along the coast and along the way a stop is made to visit the Marble Mountains, China beach (have a swim if you wish) and the Cham Museum in Danang.

Arrive in Hoi An and check-in at the Hotel.

Fri, 22 Oct Saigon (B)

This morning, proceed for an excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels. One of the highlights of your Vietnamese holiday is bound to be your visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of underground bunkers about 40 kms northwest of Ho Chi Minh City  and near the Cambodian Border. The tunnel system was commenced in the 1940's. During the US War, at one time the tunnels spread out for 350kms and were up to 7 metres deep.  They served as shelter, storage facilities and a secret means of communication for the guerrilla army

In the afternoon, you will be taken for a city tour of Ho Chi Minh (formerly Saigon) - a fast paced city with a unique mix of French colonial architecture, Chinese influences, a modern entrepreneurial spirit and numerous temples. On this tour, you will take in the highlights of Ho Chi Minh starting with an exploration of Saigon's turbulent past with visits to the Reunification Palace (from outside) and the War Museum.

The tour continues to Ho Chi Minh's finest examples of colonial architecture with a visit to the Notre Dame cathedral and Post Office. Your Ho Chi Minh tour continues with a visit to Giac Lam Pagoda, the Cholon Chinese district. Tour concludes at the Ben Thanh market where you can try your bargaining skills for clothes, shoes, bags, sunglasses and souvenirs.

Sat, 23 Oct Saigon – Cai Be – Can Tho (B/L)

You will be collected from your hotel and drive to Cai Be, 120 km south-west of Saigon in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Stop enroute to visit a typical local house where rice is made (visited during harvesting season only).

Arrive in Cai Be and take a boat to the floating market to practice the age-old art of bartering. Visitors will be supplied with sweets, sugar, milk etc., which they can then barter for different kinds of local fruits. Continue by river to see family-run businesses producing a local version of popcorn and rice paper.

Lunch is at a local house on Binh Hoa Phuoc islet, set amongst fruit orchards and bonsai trees. Continue to Vinh Long and drive on to Can Tho and check into your hotel.

Sun, 24 Oct Can Tho (B/L/D)

Morning boat cruise to visit Cai Rang floating market, which is a wonderful spectacle with thousands of small boats barging and jostling for position as their owners attempt to sell their goods. Cruise through small canals and stop at a fruit orchard to taste some of the succulent fruits of the Mekong Delta then continue driving to visit the Binh Thuy old house and market. In the afternoon we cycle along quiet towpaths to experience authentic rural Vietnam.

Late afternoon relax on boat with cold drinks then release lanterns on the river for good luck.

Mon, 25 Oct Can Tho – Chau Doc (B/L/D)

In the morning, drive to Chau Doc, a trading port near the Cambodian border. Upon arrival visit the Chau Giang fish farm - where fish are raised in cages beneath houses floating on the river as well as the Cham weaving village of Tan Chau. 

In the afternoon, visit the Xu Lady and Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple (visit Sam Mountain if time permits).

This morning, drive to Jodhpur, a city ringed by high stone walls with seven gates and several bastions. This second largest city of Rajasthan was founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 A.D. Built in the 15th century, the beautiful Ranakpur temple complex lies in a remote and peaceful valley of the Aravali ranges. The temples are known for their grand structures and exquisite sculptures. The main temple in the complex is the Chaumukha Temple (Four Faced Temple), dedicated to the Jain apostle Adinath. This huge marble temple has 29 halls supported by 1444 intricately carved pillars, no two alike.

After breakfast, visit this perfect Rajput walled desert city which is like a golden jewel shimmering above the hard sand. Visit the palaces, the Jain temples and the magnificent Havelis or merchant's houses, each richly decorated and carved from golden yellow sandstone - Patwon-ki-haveli (House of the Brocade Merchants) is the largest and most elaborate of the famous havelis of Jaisalmer. The Nathmalji-ki-haveli (The Mansion of Nathmalji), the last of the great havelis was built in the late 19th century. End the morning with a visit to Gadisar Lake - the large natural oasis that attracted Rawal Jaisal to this site.

Founded by Raja Rai Singh the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs.
After the tour, embark on a drive amidst the arid Rajasthan desert towards Pushkar, a land of fairs in the heart of Rajasthan. Famous for the annual cattle and camel fair in November, Pushkar is also one of the holiest cities of India, being one of the 5 sacred dhams (pilgrimage site) for Hindu devotees.
Arrive in Pushkar early in the evening and proceed to the Tourist Complex where your accommodation will be in Deluxe Tents for two nights including main meals. Experience staying in the desert amidst sand dunes and get entertained in the evenings with folkloric songs, music and Rajasthani dance performances.

Today, spend the day enjoying the Pushkar Fair. Pushkar is one of the holiest cities of Hindus and is the only place in the world, with a temple dedicated only to Lord Brahma, The Creator. Take a holy dip in Pushkar Lake and visit the very famous Pushkar fair and all its activities such as camel ride, tug-of-war and witnessing the camel contests and cultural performances of the folk artists dressed in traditional attires. In the evening, ride the camel cart to the 52 Ghats of the lake.

Today, after a late morning start from Pushkar, embark on a leisurely drive to the Pink City of Jaipur. Jaipur is an exuberance of colour, dance and traditional arts and crafts. This morning, visit the Amber fort, which was built in the 16th century. You will ascend to this hilltop fort by jeeps or by elephants (elephants are subject to availability). Perched on a hill 11km from Jaipur and nestling among the Aravali Hills is the historic fort-palace. Set in a picturesque background, the splendid Amber Fort (Jaigarh) was built in 1600 by Raja Man Singh, commander-in-chief of the Mughal army during Akbar’s reign and greatest general of medieval India.
Afternoon set out on a half day city tour visiting Hawa Mahal, the Observatory-Jantar Mantar and City Palace. The Hawa Mahal or “Palace of Winds” was built in 1799 to enable the ladies of the royal household to watch street processions while remaining in a strict state of purdah. Between 1727 and 1734 Maharajah Jai Singh II of Jaipur constructed five astronomical observatories in west central India. The observatories or “Jantar Mantars” as they are commonly known, incorporate multiple buildings of unique form, each with a specialized function for astronomical measurement. Conceived and designed by Jai Singh, the City Palace, is a fine blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Chandra Mahal is still the residence of the present royal family.

Mon, 22 Nov Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (B)

This morning, embark on a leisurely drive to Agra – the land of Taj Mahal enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the mysterious ghost city founded by the Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great in the late 16th century and capital of the Mughal Empire from 1581 to 1595. The city occupies a sandstone ridge and the area around it is enclosed within a seven-mile-long wall. Within the complex lies a mosque built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar and dedicated to Sheikh Salim Chisti, a Muslim Sufi Saint who blessed Emperor Akbar with a son. We’ll stroll about the fort and palace
After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, continue your journey to Agra and proceed straight to your Hotel to check-in.

Later, visit the Agra Fort, which is built in red sandstone and has magnificent palaces, halls of public and private audience and beautiful gardens. Built by Emperor Akbar on the west bank of the Yamuna, Agra Fort first took shape between 1565 and 1573 and thereafter structures within it were added by successive emperors. You can have a distant yet breathtaking view of magnificent Taj Mahal from one of the palaces here.

Mon, 22 Nov Agra - Delhi - Singapore (B)

This morning, experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the eternal symbol of love, with a sunrise view of Taj Mahal. Built by Shah Jahan as an eternal symbol of his love for his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal, The Taj Mahal is one of the great architectural wonders of the world. Later, visit the white marble beauty and symbol of eternal love, the Taj Mahal. Work on this beautiful monument started in 1641, and the structure took 20,000 laborers 22 years to complete. The Taj changes color depending on the time of day, and it is recommended that you witness this by visiting in the morning or evening.
After visiting Taj, return to the Hotel to check-out and then you will drive to Delhi, straight to International Airport for your return flight back home.
