Cruising with Children on P&O Cruises |
Travelling with Children on P&O Cruise Ships.
It can be a bit of a mission tracking this info down so we've done it for you.
Minimum age to sail
We welcome children aged 12 months and over to cruise with us. We are unable to accommodate infants less than 12 months old due to limited neo-natal facilities on board and at ports of call.
Infants
Infants aged 12 months to 3 years must remain with their parent/guardian at all times.
Sleeping Arrangements
The safety of your children is very important to us at P&O Cruises. In line with Australian Standards, we strongly recommended that children under the age of 9 years do not play or sleep on the upper bunks.
Bed rails are available upon request from your cabin steward for children 9 years and above who occupy an upper bunk bed.
Rollaway beds
Any person aged 3 years and over can occupy a rollaway bed. Rollaways are permitted in the following grades of accommodation on; Pacific Sun: AA grade only Pacific Dawn: AA or AB grades. These cabins can only take a maximum of 3 people.
Cots
We strongly recommend children aged 12 months to 2 years and 11 months occupy a cot. Cots are permitted in all grades of accommodation, providing that the number of passengers in the cabin does not exceed the maximum capacity (ie: 3 people in a 3 berth cabin or 4 people in a 4 berth cabin). When a cot is in use, a queen bed configuration cannot be accommodated, except in a suite or mini-suite.
Baby baths
Baby baths are not available on any of P&O Cruises’ ships.
Nappies and baby wipes
Parents/guardians should provide all of their own nappies, wipes and any other necessary items for the cruise duration.
These items are not available on board.
Prams / Strollers
Prams and strollers for infants/children are not available on board. Please ensure that you travel with your own pram or stroller.
High Chairs and booster seats
We have a limited number of high chairs and booster seats available on each cruise.
