Fleet & Services
Malaysia Airlines operates a fleet of aircraft with two-cabin and three-cabin configurations. The B777-200 fleet has a two-cabin configuration, with Golden Club Class and Economy Class.
The B747-400 fleet has a three-cabin configuration, also including First Class. The A330-300, A330-200 and B737-400 aircraft have a two-cabin configuration.
Malaysia Airlines Travel Classes
Malaysian offers three travel classes on its international flight, Economy, Business and First Class.
Domestic services within Malaysia typically only feature Economy and Business classes.
Select In-flight entertainment
Select is the in-flight entertainment system of Malaysia Airlines. There are three types of Select: Select 3000i, Select 3000i Portable Media Player and Select Mainscreen. However, the Boeing 737-400 does not have Select Mainscreen or either version of Select 3000i, and does not offer audio video on demand.
Enrich Frequent Flyer
Malaysia Airlines operates a frequent flyer programme called Enrich, which as Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum membership levels.
Enrich members may earn free flights, upgrades, lounge access and priority check in privilges.
Baggage Allowance Policy
All tickets issued from New Zealand to all destinations will be entitled to the following Baggage Allowances:
- First Class – 40 Kgs
- Business Class – 30 Kgs
- Economy Class – 25 Kgs
- Student Fares – 30 Kgs
With exception as piece system will still apply for travel to and from Los Angeles International Airport.
Hand Baggage :
- First Class, Enrich Platinum, Enrich Gold and Business Class – 2 pieces
- Economy Class – 1 piece
- Weight – Each hand baggage must not weigh more than 5kg
- Dimensions – 56cm x 36cm x 23cm ( 22in x 14in x 9in )
